This four-star hotel is in Barcelona’s 22@ District, a growing neighbourhood which is home to technology companies with knowledge-based activities. It is situated alongside one of the city’s best shopping centres and just 15 minutes from the beach and the iconic Sagrada Familia. This is an ideal environment for events, as the hotel is surrounded by a wide range of restaurants and offers easy, convenient access to public transport. The hotel has 264 rooms, of which 22 are suites, all above the seventh floor, which means they are guaranteed a great view.
The hotel has a clear aim to ensure that guests feel truly at home, and provides all the necessary services. In conceptual terms, the décor evokes the four natural elements. Water is the theme in the reception area, with photographs of jellyfish in the lifts, coral on the curtains and a blue-coloured bar. The restaurant represents fire, and has an open concept kitchen designed for cooking shows. The meeting rooms pay homage to the earth with a bamboo scheme in shades of ochre, and black and white photos of plants and trees, while naturally, on the roof the focus is on the air in an outdoor setting where guests can take a dip in the pool or enjoy some tapas.
Eleven different combinations
One of the main attractions of the hotel is that it has almost 600 square metres of space for events to accommodate up to 500 people. If you need smaller rooms, this is no problem. Each large room can be divided into four different spaces in a total of eleven different combinations. The hotel staff – and in particular the events team – specialise in personalising each project to satisfy and exceed all our clients’ expectations and demands. We achieve this by calling on an extensive network of trusted partners to source everything that is needed, from a specific style of furniture to lighting, sound, etc. The venue can be booked in its entirety or, circumstances permitting, there can be several simultaneous events.
However, if you prefer more casual atmosphere with a surprising touch, the cool space is the place for you. Up on the 19th floor, this 50-square-metre space is ideal for informal social gatherings, and has access from the terrace where you can host a coffee break or lunch. This is where your guests can enjoy the hotel’s EO concept at the Zity Bar, which serves delicious tapas and cocktails to a backdrop of magnificent city views.
