An art and history seminar at the Grand Hôtel Roi René Aix-en-Provence MGallery
For your next seminar, we invite you to a veritable institution in the Provence region: the Grand Hôtel Roi René Aix-en-Provence MGallery… Much more than just a hotel, for the people of Aix-en-Provence it embodies the amazing artistic heritage that continues to flourish in this charming sun-drenched city.
The birthplace of Paul Cézanne, Aix-en-Provence has never stopped living to the rhythm of art. One cannot stroll through its magnificent colourful streets without marvelling at its many museums and galleries. Winston Churchill himself was a fan of this city nicknamed the “Florence of Provence”. Little wonder then that Churchill based himself in Aix-en-Provence when he settled down to write his memoirs and paint in the footsteps of his beloved Cézanne. The former British Prime Minister’s iconic stay at the Grand Hotel Roi René only enhanced the hotel’s sterling reputation.
Combining heritage with modernity
Since becoming an MGallery hotel in 2009, the Grand Hôtel Roi René Aix-en-Provence MGallery has been enjoying a second lease of life. Its decor, inspired by a romantic boudoir, always harks back to the history of the place, but here and there adorned with pleasing touches of modernity… Just like its magnificent bar, aptly named “L’intemporel”. It is that constant balance between tradition and modernity that defines the atmosphere of the Grand Hôtel Roi René.
While guests are transported back in time, they nonetheless enjoy all the comforts of a modern four-star hotel: a state-of-the-art fitness area, a heated swimming pool that is open for most of the year and, as the cherry on top, a full-fledged restaurant, “La Table du Roi”. The Menu offers an array of fresh and seasonal Mediterranean fare, in keeping with the increasingly renowned gastronomy of Aix-en-Provence. Believe us, it is worth trying!
High-quality spaces for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions (MICE)
With 230m² of floorspace and room for up to 250 people, the area dedicated to meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions is just like the rest of the hotel: spacious and bathed in light! And depending on the size of your event, it can be divided into three separate rooms ranging from 65 to 85m². Perfectly adapted to the U-shaped layout, the Marguerite lounge is ideal for meetings with a small group of people, for instance. Its direct access to the patio allows you to get some fresh air during well-earned breaks.
Another option is to take advantage of the large hall that connects all the work areas! Well separated from the rest of the establishment, these areas reserved for business functions form a sort of intimate cocoon that is the ideal setting for an unforgettable experience. But being in a working bubble does not prevent you from enjoying the same services as regular guests, including—and this is not common—the very generous breakfast!
… and many activities available!
Always attentive to detail, the hotel’s staff will make your stay unforgettable. They are always ready to listen and will be happy to guide you according to your wishes. Why not climb into a Citroên 2CV and visit the Luberon region and the extraordinary Château La Coste… The area around Aix-en-Provence is brimming with possibilities for incentives.
A change of scenery is guaranteed. Or take advantage of the excellent location of the hotel to let yourself fully succumb to the charms of downtown Aix-en-Provence. Speaking of geographical location, let’s not forget how accessible the city is. Just a 30-minute drive from Marseilles airport, Aix-en-Provence also has a TGV high-speed train station.
So get your tickets and head for Provence!
